IMPRINTS IN THE SNOW : High Altitude Leadership Reflections This is a strong team-building programme in three phases [see below]. The course has been designed to take the top echelon of an organization through a formidable challenge in which the individual and group's values are challenged, so as to forge a bond within the group. The course draws on Deshun's knowledge as a trainer and facilitator in the area of personal and group psychology , and on her knowledge as a mountaineer. PHASE 1 : Deshun leads a 1 day IMPRINTS IN THE SNOW seminar with the group in which personal motivation and perspective, as well as vision and team dynamics are explored at a level appropriate to executives. At the same time, the group is given its preparation kit PHASE 2: 3 months later The formidable challenge. The group takes on Mount Kilimanjaro (a 7 day expedition) or a trek to Everest Base Camp (12 day expedition) under the leadership of Deshun or associate Ronnie Muhl. [For details on Ronnie, click on Partners & Associates]. Daley Thompson and Kirtsy Sked on top of Kalapathar 2007 PHASE 3: a months later Deshun facilitates a formal reflection on the process. In it she takes the lessons from Phase 1, and Phase 2, and allows the group to concretize these into something of worth for the organization. |
