Youngest 7 Summits climber

On May 16, 2007, 18yr old Samantha Larson (USA) summitted Mount Everest and became the youngest person to have climbed the "7 Summits" (highest mountain on each of the 7 continents)

"Off course I was disappointed when I had to return from Everest without accomplishing my goal. But, if one sets tough standards for oneself, one has to accept that success will not always come the first time round. That is what endurance athletes do. We stumble just like everybody else. What sets a true athlete apart is the ability to get up and continue the race."

_{At age 67 Clive Crawley set himself the "Clive Crawley Challenge". In one year, he aimed to finish his 11th Duzi Canoe Marathon, to climb Aconcagua (South America's highest peak), to climb Mt. Everest (the world's tallest peak), to finish his 40th Comrades Marathon and to complete the National cycle race between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. He accomplised 3 out of the five that year.}
